Me with IMAGOzine at The Body Show!

See any painted people in the streets of downtown Barrie this weekend? No? Well good thing I have pictures! This past Saturday I met a very talented artist named Sean Avram, from Bravo Body Art, at the Imago booth at the Molson Center. The Molson center was holding a Body and Wellness show, which Imago was apart of, showcaseing outfits for Sears as well as promoting IMAGOzine and Sandra’s most recent project, PIE magazine. Sean had set up his work area for body painting within the Imago space, and I happened to be the lucky one asked to get body painted. I had never done it before, but what more of a reason to try it? It was amazing! I would highly recommend everyone tries it once, if you ever have the opportunity. It took about an hour and a half to do from my waist up, but it was worth every second. Sean is a great guy to talk to and the ongoing conversation made the time go by almost too fast!

Sean, initially, was pursuing a career as a clown/magician, as well as creating comic strips, which he enjoyed thoroughly! Being in that area of work, he was often asked to do face painting, which eventually led to body painting. After speaking with him, it is obvious that he has many talents and aspirations in life, which he carries out with high success. Now he does events all over the world and is recognized internationally! He worked with Sandra Roberts on her Imago Valentines show as well, doing many models in very convincing painted attire.

A truly amazing and insightful artist, I believe what makes him such a great artist is his passion! Clearly, he loves what he does, enough that he voluntarily painted many others after me, at the Body show and later on that night. Every person I saw who was displaying Sean’s work looked like a character straight out of a comic book or fantasy movie. Personally, I absolutley LOVED what he did with me. I was displaying his signature style, which is a tribal fairy vision. Very colorful and mystical, the art is priceless. I think it would be such a good idea for him to create a clothing line inspired by his body art. Once you see all the pictures you will strongly agree. It is too sad that the beautiful work has to fade or wash off eventually! But I geuss that is part of the process!

It was truly a pleasure meeting this unique and very inspirational artist that is Sean Avram. The intriguing conversation and friendly attitude he presents is very heart warming and completes the body painting experience!
