BEYOND HAVEN

How would this musical association describe their connection with eachother and their music? One word: Unity.

The concept behind this rock group is to combine a series of different elements, talents and thoughts to form a truly original band that reflects each member as an individual. This assortment of different characteristics, sounds and ideas mesh into an overall feeling of Unity, true music to the ears.

Being an artist myself, it can be very difficult to provoke this feeling through a combination of endless possibilities. But with the right personalities and flowing thoughts, the result can be unifying for the audience and ultra-rewarding for the artists. This reaction brings the motivation to be different and challenge the seemingly impossible, which BEYOND HAVEN conquers!

From how it is described, BEYOND HAVEN was very much a meant to be occurence and future project in the minds of the musicians. It was a series of random events, with the guidance of fate, that brought these like-minded artists together. At this point in time, a vision was born.

The potential band members first cam together in the late summer days of 2007, introduced by a mutual friend, who is the owner of One Star Studio, Shane Heath. For those of you who are unfamiliar with One Star Studio, it is a studio here in Barrie that holds strong to the idea of artists maintaining their true vision and creativity in the music they develop, without limitations!

Although the band had not yet been initiated, the idea of a group playing in harmony yet letting the individuality shine through was a thick feeling for all that day. After the first meeting the connection between the members was, in itself, an immediate, compatible feeling. It was clear, the feeling mutual, these people were all on a personal mission to find mind’s alike and complimenting skills. Was this a twist of fate? BEYOND HAVEN may define it as just that..

Unlike some, the musicians of BEYOND HAVEN are not on a mission to fame and fortune. Although it is a shared goal for musicians, and a nice reward, this group’s main focus and conquest is the music and the feeling it presents. They do not convince you with a certain image, nor do they put on a mask to represent their music. As described by the band themselves, they are simply friends who love to write and play music together! Their mixture of personalities, feelings and visions together create a sound so electric but soothing, hardcore but touching. The feeling of unity within the elements!

BEYOND HAVEN will be opening for State Of Shock on March 10th, at The Mansion Nightclub, 47 Dunlop St., Barrie. Doors open @ 9 pm.
