Art’s inspirations are found in the most farfetched of places, making the true mission complete when those who view
stop and think: What? Why?
These questions are often left unanswered, sometimes for the best of reasons. Visions of the piece remain in your thoughts, which leads you to your own interpretations; Your own thoughts that allow you to make a personal connection with the sight in front of you.
I feel that the act of art, the tangible piece, the musical essence, whatever form it may be, is best left open to interpretation. Whether art may appear to have an obvious meaning or message, the true understanding will always lay within the artist, themselves. Thoughts circulating, interior or exterior, makes any form of art so meaningful to a world filled with constant standards for everything we do. Art has no rubric when there is an open mind in the presence.
This artistic outlook is well exemplified through a merging artist whose work has been displayed throughout Barrie and area. Louis Horvath, a soft-spoken individual with expressions in epic proportions, carries his ideas through the use of found objects and unknown areas; The initial discovery of a simple base that molds and encourages the evolution of an object to a statement, as time progresses. The growth of the object into a concept is reliant on the exploration of possibilities the object holds. It is this that allows the silent speech to take place in our world of human sense, for us to ponder and evoke within ourselves.
With this said, it is only fair to say that to truly understand the meaning and feeling of the work itself, you must endeavor with your senses in tact.
Inspired by the continual determination of the mortal soul, Louis Horvath finds expression in the reality of true emotion. The process of these realizations and feelings are inevitable, natural in the sense that they will always occur in the animal life. Louis’ ideas grow as his creative process takes place, forming the concept and a personal connection. The flow of actions taking place, not ever necessarily following a plan, in developing the art work always produces a result with impact.
Each hidden story behind an artist’s vision is a story in its own. To ever fully experience the emotion associated with a form of art you must enlighten your senses in whichever way suits.
Experience the art itself, Louis Horvath will hold an art exhibition from April 11-26th, 2009, at the Double Door Studio in Anton Mills, ON. This location is outside of Barrie, ON, going North up Hwy 26/27.
