Atlantis Blueprint, Live at The Mansion

Atlantis Blueprint, Live at The Mansion

When a random collaboration of complete strangers brings forth similar sounds yet different influences, one can have a head full of expectations.

The natural flow of minds alike develops a chemistry made only among those compatible…

A formed talent such as this goes by a name that has consistently climbed the underground charts, making way to bigger and better things, as we speak.  After only a year of combined efforts, creating music, Atlantis Blueprint has made their mark on the Barrie Music scene and beyond.  Opening for Grady at The Mansion Nightclub, finding a spot on INDIE Week, playing throughout all of Toronto;  A busy year, indeed.  With their self titled EP, Atlantis Blueprint, out the end of this month, June 2009, one can only anticipate an energetic summer of music.

Adam Skinner, Vocals and Lead Guitar

As Adam Skinner, independent musician and lead vocals/guitar, was on a search for a talented musician much like himself, he came across many possible hits and misses.  When finding Raul Ponce in the odd place of an online buy/sell/trade website, the two met and a strong musical connection was immediate.  Their styles meshed and their friendship founded, Raul’s percussion skills and overall drumming capabilities were just the touch Adam felt he was looking for.

As their chemistry built, the need for a third member was noted between the two.  Brad Barnett, the

soon-bassist of Atlantis Blueprint was once a partner to Raul in their days of playing drums and bass guitar.  Once introduced to Adam, the three put together their musically inclined minds and the trio was set.  Not only did Brad have a great connection with Adams sound, but also a great memory and contribution to the music.  Many other musicians had been a potential place but none truly felt right until Brad came into the groove.  This ended the search as they had found their missing piece to the compilation.  With similar skill levels, positive visions were not far behind.

All bringing a different taste to the table, Atlantis Blueprint is a multifaceted sound of rock and roll.  All members have had a long-lasting relationship with music, deriving from different backgrounds.  Anywhere from Bluegrass to Funk, all influencing genres have found a place in Atlantis Blueprint’s tracks and their sound can not easily be described by one.  With the sound process being a combination of random acts of musical thrill and lyrical flow, it is hard to advocate a specific style to this group.  Illuminated and driven by the crowd in front of them, Atlantis Blueprint thrives off those who throw them energy.  And what a cycle to be a part of.

This trio of vast sounds and long-lived talent seem to be best described as ‘meant to be’, a possible crucial addition to our music scene.  Introducing their personal cultures and hearts to the crowd is a determined mission that will carry the three to great ventures in our world of opportunity.  After only a year of being an official band, Atlantis Blueprint has played continuous shows throughout Canadian cities and made their dream a true reality.  Soon to be heard near you, passion, electrifying energy and substance bring the presence of Atlantis Blueprint to the stage with full recognition.
